Revolutionary landscape designer Piet Oudolf is known for designing public works like New York City’s popular High Line and the Lurie Garden in Chicago’s Millennium Park that redefine our conception of gardens as works of art in themselves. This gorgeous, meditative documentary immerses viewers in his work, taking us inside Oudolf’s creative process. From his aesthetic theories to his strikingly abstract sketches to the ecological implications of his ideas, the film poetically reveals how Oudolf upends conventional notions of nature, public space, and, ultimately, beauty itself.
"A pleasure on multiple fronts: sensorially, conceptually, narratively."
- Landscape Architecture Magazine
The Mission of the Club shall be to extend the love and knowledge of amateur gardening, to promote the beauty of this region by encouraging civic planting, roadside beautification and to support the protection of trees, birds, and wildflowers and the proper stewardship of natural resources.
We meet monthly from June through September for educational programs. Our volunteer projects range from community planting boxes, maintenance of public garden spaces, flower shows/sales and financial support for projects that further the love of nature and gardening.
The White Mountain Garden Club was founded by leaders dedicated to the preservation of the area's natural beauty. Over the decades, remarkable women have worked to beautify, educate and conserve our communities.
We are an active volunteer group who love to learn and get our hands dirty with community garden projects. If you would like to learn more, email us and we'll be happy to reach out.
We are a volunteer organization with monthly meetings during the summer months as well as exhibits and plant sales. Check out our calendar for upcoming events.
